The OfficeMax store just north of us, at 3340 Hayden Road, will be closing on November 12. We checked it out and found some excellent deals on school supplies:

• Notebooks – spiral, multi-subject, loose leaf, graphing, sketching
• Folders, including pocket folders
• Paper in all colors, plus printing paper and looseleaf paper
• Pens, pencils, crayons, markers, paint sets
• Index cards
• Glue and tape
• Scissors

We even spotted some workbooks suitable for homeschooling.

We even noticed some teachers’ guides.

If you didn’t know, OfficeMax and OfficeDepot decided to stop confusing people a few years ago and merged. As far as we know, this is the only local store in the franchise that will close.

We saw inventory useful for homes as well as offices:

• Tissues
• Toilet paper
• Cleaning supplies, including laundry
• Diapers (we were a little surprised to see that, too!)
• Office desk sets
• Toner ink
• Office desks and chairs

We imagine supplies will go pretty quickly.
